River Guide Training
Foaming Fury offers professional raft guide training courses. Upon completion of our course Foaming Fury guarantees employment to all successful graduates.
Foaming Fury is always looking for qualified international guides, grade 2 – 4 travelling with their full rafting safety kit.
Six Week River Guide Course with Guaranteed Employment
This 6 week course trains you in all areas of commercial raft guiding with the aim to get you working for us. In fact, you are guaranteed employment with Foaming Fury upon its successful completion. Course Covers:
- Advanced Reading White Water
- Raft Handling Skills (8 Person Raft)
- Rescue Training to an Advanced level
- River Signals and Radio Communications
- Knots and Advanced Rescue Systems
- Risk Management, Risk Assessments and Hazard Identification
- Customer Screening for Trip Suitability
- Internal Company Procedures
Safety Equipment is provided until the fourth week, then you will need to purchase your own to our standards. Contact us for equipment specifics. Attainment sheets will be given out at the completion of the course.
Training courses need a minimum number of 6 people to operate. All medical conditions, disabilities and swimming ability must be disclosed prior to entering the course. Payment for the course is to be made two weeks prior to the commencement of the course. Appropriate work visas required. Applicants must have held an open drivers license for one year to work in all areas of our company. Conditions apply email us for more details.
